Beijing (AP) — Eastern Man China Infected with potentially the world’s first human case of the H10N3 strain of bird-fluHowever, the risk of large-scale spread is low, the government said Tuesday.

The National Health Commission said on its website that a 41-year-old man living in Jiangsu Province, northwest of Shanghai, was hospitalized on April 28 and is in good health.

According to the Commission, no human cases of H10N3 have been reported elsewhere.

“This infection is an accidental cross-species transmission,” the statement said. “Low risk of large-scale infection”
