Michael Paul picked up a hobby of cleaning old tombstones during a pandemic.

Paul says he started his hobby not because someone asked him, but because he wanted to.

“No one asked me to do this. I’m just walking around and choosing one,” he said.

He says he got ideas from his other hobbies over the years.

“This just happened because I like to get things back,” Paul said.

After a little research, Paul realized that the only chemical that could be used to clean the stone was D / 2. This is a stain remover specially made for mold, mold, algae, lichens and air pollutants. It is free of bleach, salt and acids and will not damage the surrounding stones or grass.

Paul then called the graveyard for permission and set about work.
