Tucson, Arizona (KGUN) —Tucson police are investigating a murder on South Park Avenue on July 8.

According to the TPD, around 9 pm, the police officer was 6301 S. Park Ave. I replied to Quik Mart at, asking for a report of the shooting. Upon arrival, police officers found a man in the parking lot with obvious signs of bullet trauma, where police officers assisted.

According to the TPD, after a Tucson firefighter arrived and took over the life-saving measures, he took the victim to the Banner University Medical Center, where he later died. He was identified as 19-year-old Carlos Valdez. A close relative was notified.

Investigators continued their investigations on the scene and found that Valdes had verbally quarreled with another person in the parking lot. Meanwhile, it was fired.

No other information was released immediately.
