Mansfield, Ohio (WJW) —A man suspected of stabbing a 74-year-old woman was arrested. Mansfield Police reported on Saturday.
19-year-old Isaac Lowhorn was arrested in an East Cook Road apartment around 8 am this morning, thanks to the efforts of local police and the United States Marshals Service. The suspect was reportedly detained without incident.
According to police, Lowhorn was suspected of breaking into the victim’s Brookfield Drive apartment on June 3, and stabbed him more than 30 times while in bed.
According to police, Lowhorn has been charged with violent assault and is currently awaiting court in Richland County Jail.
The detective believes he acted alone in what the suspect called a random attack, but investigations into the case continue.
