Festus, Missouri (KMOV.com)-A 27-year-old man was charged with posting a threat to Festus High School on social media.
Festus’ Mitchell Lovelace has been charged with intimidating terrorists. Police posted a threat on social media on Saturday, saying, “I’m going to shoot a student at Festas High School in the name of Kyle Rittenhouse.”
Lovelace was later arrested at his home. He has been detained without being detained in Jefferson County Jail. The Festus school district said the school’s resource officers are now stepping up patrols.
