Raleigh, NC- Marbles Kids Museum It has long been known as a place of innovation for interactive learning. So it’s no surprise that the latest exhibit, ImagiFab, is focused on expanding children’s skill sets on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). With support from a children’s furniture company based in North Carolina nugget, We aim to create an area that focuses on the concept of “open play”.

Hannah Erie, chief creative officer of the nugget, said: “I think the really unique thing about the ImagiFab space is that it really encourages children to bring creativity … and there are few instructions about it.”

This is by design. The new space is created primarily for children to innovate on their own and revolves around four special areas: creation, creation, construction and animation. From self-cleaning paint walls to digital canvases where kids can upload artwork to Raleigh’s 3D maps, this exhibit encourages kids to foster creative expression in a so-called collaborative environment. And unlike most playgrounds, the museum has introduced a woodworking station.

“There’s a space where kids can actually pick up a piece of wood and see through it,” explained Marbles exhibition director Chris Alexander. “It’s a bit dangerous play, but Marbles feels confident and lets children learn what their boundaries are.” This is a concept that has been admired by early childhood development experts. Yes, and argues that such practices are very important for the development of risk management skills.

The exhibition lasted for four years, and in October 2017 Marbles received a federal grant to create a diverse space that facilitates hands-on learning at STEAM. For Marbles Vice President Learning Hardin Engelhardt, a central aspect of this initiative was to ensure that the children represented themselves.

“When asked what Marble’s success is, one of my answers is to make the kids feel that Marble is theirs. Build a bridge through play.” rice field. “Therefore, by joining the community when creating this exhibition, we can feel like a space we own, where all children and families feel welcomed, attended and represented. rice field.”
