Officials said Massachusetts soldiers were accused of threatening to shoot their ex-girlfriend and were suspended for no wages.
Trooper Joel S. Divine, who graduated from the State Police Academy in May 2020, has been accused of pointing his service weapon at his ex-girlfriend and threatening to kill her several times at his Attleboro home. Reported by Sun Chronicle.
“He categorically denies that claim. He believes in the criminal justice system and looks forward to a day in court,” said lawyer Thomas Flanagan Jr.
Divine, arrested in January, is under internal investigation by state police.
The judge allowed Divine to be released on bail on GPS bracelets and other conditions. He faces charges including domestic violence and assault with dangerous weapons.
