Denver prosecutors charged Matthewdorf with a second-class murder on October 10 for shooting 49-year-old Lee Kertner. It became a controversy. Keltner made Dorf, who shot Keltner, pry a pepper spray.

Richards said Friday he recently received new evidence from the district attorney’s office, including body camera footage of the case and data from Keltner’s phone.
If convicted of a second-class murder, Dorf faces a 16-48 year imprisonment and a five-year parole obligation. He has been free with a $ 500,000 deposit since November.
