FashionNetwork.com: Why did Woolmark join La Caserne?
Damian Pomme: I’m in charge of all Western Europe and I’m based in Paris, but most of the team is based in London. But when I heard about this new concept and this place, I thought so. When people are traveling to see fashion, they want to go to a place where you can easily get in somewhere you can have restaurants, terraces and showrooms like La Caserne. FNW: How do you think this project is evolving?
DP: In fashion, there was rarely a culture of sharing and exchanging. So we talked about how to change the way we work. As an old non-profit company for us, we do a lot, but we may not be good at communicating it. And improve it here. We have many “farm” projects-in collaboration with animal welfare. In September, we will complete a major collaboration with ECMCP, one of the best business schools in France. It demonstrates our mission to educate all students and know what natural fibers are.
