Honolulu (KHON2) — Eligible bus passengers on Maui will soon be able to travel by paying a $ 25 fixed-route monthly bus pass.
Discount Fair Monthly Pass is only available to seniors 55 years and older, paratransit qualified, certified disability fixed route cards, Medicare cardholders, and students with a valid ID under 24 years.
The pass will take effect on July 1st.
In addition, the following changes will begin on July 1st:
- Kihei Villager Route 15 and Kaanapali Islander Route 25 Maui Bus Fixed Route Service will resume.
- Makawao-Kapalua Commuter, Kihei-Kapalua Commuter, Haiku-Wailea Commuter, Wailuku-Kapalua # 3 and # 4 Maui Bus commuting services will resume. Note that all the time on the resumed route reverts to the pre-COVID routing and time schedule.
You can also buy a 12-ride (one-way) ticket book for $ 20. Tickets are valid from July 1st to June 30th, 2022.
