Mayor Jane Caster and the Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Board will be the keynote speaker for the 2022 La Tinos Unidos Luncheon at Armature Works on May 11, 2022, and Elias, co-founder and CTO of Drift. Welcome to Torres. This event commemorates the resurrection of the first luncheon since the pandemic began.
Torres shares his success story as Drift’s co-founder and CTO, as well as insights into the growth of the technology industry in Tampa Bay.
The net income of the luncheon will support the council’s donated scholarships at Hillsborough Community College, University of South Florida, and University of Tampa. These scholarships are awarded to local Hispanic students in financial need. Torres himself was a recipient of a Latin scholarship in 1995 and was the first speaker of the luncheon to make that distinction.
