Boston (AP) —The Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority is working with Boston and several other local communities to build a bus lane of about five miles and make other uphills along important transport corridors. Transportation officials said.
In a statement, MBTA aims to support economic growth by increasing the speed and reliability of buses and relaxing public health restrictions that occurred during the coronavirus pandemic.
This work is also being done in Lynn, Brookline, Malden, Libya and Summerville.
“These quick build projects are the busiest roads in the region to improve bus travel time and reliability, move more people more efficiently and support economic recovery and public health. The aim is to address the transit delays of the T, “said T’s statement.
