MCKEESPORT (KDKA) -McKeesport, well known for its Great Allagainy Passage-Two bridges, the Duquene Bridge and the McKeesport Connecting Railroad Bridge, will be closed this morning.
PennDOT announced earlier this morning due to the possibility of a barge strike.
An inspector is on site to evaluate the situation.
Early Thursday morning, inspectors were inspecting the bridge with a spotlight under the bridge.
The workers also put up signs that did not allow access to the Great Alagainy Passage in the area.
The bridge is closed and another route is available for the driver while the crew is inspecting the bridge.
Drivers can also take advantage of the Mansfield Bridge or Rankin Bridge, depending on where they need to go.
Anyway, the driver needs to give him extra time to commute this morning.
KDKA’s Lindsay Ward contacted PennDOT for details and how long they believed these bridges would be closed.
The story continues in the morning on Your Day in Pittsburgh and KDKA Morning News in CW in Pittsburgh.
