Colorado Springs — 800 people attending today Colorado Veterans Project Memorial Day Run..
Memorial March helps feed veterans in need. But it also honors veterans, mourns those who died in the war, and thank those who have made the greatest sacrifices for us. Today’s march is divided into several runs. Running people can participate in 5K, 10K, 30K and virtual runs. The Colorado Veterans Project couldn’t be carried out directly due to a pandemic, but I’m excited to be back this year.
“It really makes me feel better and feels like I’m part of a bigger one, and just being here makes me feel much better when I participate in it,” said Victor of the U.S. Army. Rodrites.
The run started in Denver in 2015 and has grown exponentially, so they wanted to do it here in Springs this year. Over the years, the march has raised over £ 96,000 in food for veterans and donated over $ 250,00 to veteran nonprofits.
The Colorado Veterans Project also today awarded two checks to a local nonprofit organization. $ 8,000 check donated Care and Share Food Bank A $ 10,000 check was given to feed veterans. Special Forces Foundation..
