Long-standing lobbying at the Hawaii State Capitol is considering running for Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii.
Sherry Menor McNamara, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, has registered with the State’s Campaign Expenditure Commission.
If she runs, Menor McNamara will run as a Democrat.
“I’ve been talking to people all over the state who are encouraging me to step up and take part in the race,” she said on Tuesday. “In the near future, I will officially announce my decision.”
Democrat and former California Senator Jill Tokuda has also submitted the organization’s documents as a candidate for LG. Former city council members Ikaika Anderson and Ron Menor also submitted LG documents.
