Metro Ministries’ cold weather clothesline – Riverside, California

Riverside, California 2021-01-13 19:17:48 –

Corpus Christi, Texas — The Metroministry has devised a unique way to help people in need of warm clothing while maintaining a safe distance for a pandemic.

Staff are currently hanging coats and other warm clothing along the fence outside the shelter.

The clothesline began during last year’s holiday season, when the front office was closed due to the coronavirus.

Those who need good weather clothes are invited to choose what they need from the fence.

Patty Clark, CEO of Metro Ministries, said, “It’s not just people who live on the streets. People who live on the edge. They are rarely detained and rarely detained. That often doesn’t mean fever, and
It may not be water or it may not be light. “

If you have equipment for cold weather that you would like to donate, you can take it to Metro Ministries on 1919 Leopard Street.

You will be asked to hang the item on a fence and not throw it on the ground.

And if you want to help other nonprofits that help the homeless, you can find the list here.
