Nashville, TN (WKRN) – Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control (MACC) kennel air conditioning system is not functioning properly.

The kennel was already full, as the summer season was the busiest time for the organization, according to a post on the Facebook page.

Currently, MACC officials say some kennel rooms are unavailable due to the heat. They are looking for recruiters and breeders on Sunday.

People can drop in at shelters to meet their dogs and take them home to sleep. Authorities report that just a few nights from the shelter can help prevent stress and illness that can come from congestion.

MACC is Davidson County’s only open admission shelter, servicing all homeless, injured, sick and abused animals. Open until 4pm on Sundays.

MACC is at 5125 Harding Pl, Nashville, TN 37211 And they can be reached by phone (615) 862-7928..

No other information was released immediately.
