Nashville, Tennessee (WSMV)-According to Metropolis, a suspected shooting involving police officers will be arrested once released from the hospital.
Metro police said the ATF wanted a 20-year-old Rod Reed on suspicion of federal guns and drugs.
Metro police are investigating after a policeman was shot dead in Dickerson Pike on Monday afternoon, injuring a man.
Byron Bolter, an SRO at the nearby Hunter’s Lane High School, was leaving school when he encountered a collision at Dickerson Pike around 2:30 pm. Bolter approaches the blue Chevrolet Camaro involved in the collision. According to the TBI, driver Rod Reed, 20, said, “I went back into the car to point my gun at the dashboard.”
Body camera footage shows Boelter shooting the lead with his foot. Police said Reed remained stable at the Vanderbild Medical Center. Law enforcement officers have not reported any injuries.
The TBI confirmed that they were investigating the shooting. Metro police have released a photo of the gun that Reed is believed to have reached.
