Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) – Metro police officers are being treated for brain tremors early Saturday morning after a police car crash on Interstate 24.

The crash occurred around 8:10 am on Milemarker 59.8 near Hickory Hollow Parkway, the eastern lane of Interstate 24.

According to metro police, police officer Darin Hardin was helping a stranded driver when a police car was struck by a jeep.

According to officials, Jeep’s 48-year-old driver suffers a non-life-threatening injury. Officer Hardin is currently being treated for a concussion.

It is unknown what caused the crash and whether the Jeep driver is currently being charged.

No other information was released immediately.
