Las Vegas, Nevada 2021-10-19 11:12:00 –

Las Vegas (FOX5)-MGM Resorts International has announced that more than 98% of office workers comply with the company’s COVID-19 vaccine obligations.

In August, the company announced a compulsory vaccination policy for office workers who are not working at home, requiring them to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive approved accommodation by October 15. I did.

At this time, there is no obligation to vaccinate hourly employees at MGM Resort.

In a notice issued to employees by CEO Bill Hornbuckle on Monday, the company said more than 98% of its team members were vaccinated against the virus.

“Of the thousands of office workers MGM employees nationwide, about 90 chose not to join the new policy and left the company,” Hornbuckle said.

As Nevada’s largest private employer and large-scale employer across the country, Hornbuckle added that the company is “in a unique position to help make a big positive difference in the community.”

Mr. Hornbuckle concludes the letter by reminding employees working at home that they have a deadline of November 15th and must comply with vaccination policies.

The company said there was a typo in the Hornbuckle letter. 90 salaried workers left the company as a result of their mission, instead of the 91 mentioned in the letter.
