Miami County, Kansas (KCTV)-The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is looking for suspects and stolen vehicles today after being shot by the vehicle owner.
The sheriff’s office said it received a 911 call from someone who said it was tracking a stolen vehicle a few days ago. The caller was north of Old Kansas City Road, north of the Paola city border.
The vehicle then reached W. 225th Street and continued north until it turned west.
As the two vehicles approached Hillsdale Lake Dam on 255th Avenue, the suspect’s vehicle turned around, firing at the victims and fleeing the area.
The uninjured caller said he last saw the vehicle in the W.255th Street and Harmony Road areas.
When the agent arrived, they checked the area of the vehicle but could not find it. An aviation unit with a Kansas highway patrol responded and could not find it either.
The vehicle is described as a 1985 blue Cadillac Eldorado with the Kansas antique tag “284413”. There is a black primer on both the driver’s side and the passenger’s side, and the rear window has a temporary tag.
The suspect is portrayed as a white man with long black hair, a mustache, and a goat. He wore a gray or blue hoodie.
The suspect is armed and considered dangerous and should not be approached.
If you see a suspect or vehicle, call 911 immediately.
