Boston (WHDH)-Boston junior high school teachers are recovering after a student throws boiling ramen on his face.
A student at McKinley, a school for children with special needs, when the teacher tried to stop shaking books in the microwave, he tried to heat lunch in the microwave with a textbook. According to police reports, the student “gets up from his seat and throws boiling ramen at the victim’s face.”
An unidentified teacher told police that he was experiencing “unbearable pain,” especially on his face, ears, and left eye.
The teacher was treated for an injury by a school nurse and another party. She told the principal of the school what had happened and she offered to call 911, but the police did not call, she said.
“This was an unfortunate incident in McKinley, and measures were taken to ensure the safety of the staff involved and appropriate intervention was taken,” the Boston Public School said in a statement.
Four days after the incident, the teacher told police that her face was still stabbed. The BPS does not share how the school treats students, but the detective has filed a boy’s complaint with the Boston City Court.
