Stillwater, Oklahoma — The Big 12 Conference announced the Season Awards on Thursday, with fifth-placed Oklahoma State Cowboys receiving several honors.

Awards, including the Coach of the Year, will be voted by 10 coaches in the league who are not allowed to vote for their players.

OSU Head Coach Mike Gundy won his second Coach of the Year during his 17-year tenure at OSU (2010).

The Gandhi’s Cowboys finish their regular season with a record of 11-1 and have the chance to compete in the conference championship on Saturday and in the College Football Playoff.

Oklahoma State University senior running back Jalen Warren won the Offensive Newcomer of the Year, and freshman defensive end Collins Oliver won the Defensive Freshman of the Year.

Six OSU players, including Junior Quarterback Spencer Sanders, have created the All Big 12 First Team. A second team of four cowboys, including a sophomore kick-returner and a former Bixbees Partan Brennan Presley.

Oklahoma Sooners had two first team selections and seven second team selections.
