Cleveland (WJW) – Longtime Cleveland radio host Mike Tribisonno died suddenly on Thursday. He was 74 years old.

WTAM AM 1100 announced his death during the broadcast Thursday afternoon.

“It’s very sad to say that Mike Trivisonno died today,” said programming director Ray Davis, holding back tears. He expressed his condolences to Trivisonno’s family. “Today will be a very difficult show.” The broadcast was emotional when his colleagues recalled his legacy.

The “Mike Tribison No Show” was broadcast from 3 pm to 6 pm on weekdays, and Tribison discussed sports and politics.

Trivisonno began as a frequent caller to Pete Franklin’s sports talk show. He got his own show in 1987 and took over Franklin in 1994 before moving to the afternoon slots.
