A military training jet crashed near Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday, injuring two pilots and damaging three homes. The two pilots jumped out of the plane before crashing on Lake Worth, just west of Fort Worth. “The incident could have been worse,” said Ryan Arthur, chief of the Lake Worth Fire Department. A military trainer crashed near Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday, injuring two pilots and damaging three homes.

Officials said at a news conference that both pilots managed to jump out of the plane before crashing on Lake Worth, just west of Fort Worth.

“This incident could have been worse,” said Ryan Arthur, Fire Chief of Lakeworth.

Police chief JT Nanoushagian said one pilot’s parachute was entangled in power lines and both were being treated for injuries.

He said people living in three damaged homes would be evacuated due to the crash.

The neighborhood is near the Naval Air Base Joint Reserve Base. Officials said several military representatives were at the crash site.
