Milwaukee Friday night shooting update; at least 21 people injured and ten people in custody – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

A fierce night in Milwaukee – three shots injured at least 21 people.

The earliest shootings occurred around 9 pm near Highlands and MLK Jr. Dr. Three people were shot there. Shortly thereafter, N. 17 people were injured in a shooting on Water Street. Police said it occurred on Friday after 11:00 pm at 1100 blocks on N. Water Street near E. Highland Avenue, just a few blocks from the Game 6 Bucks watch party.

At a press conference on Saturday, Milwaukee police also shared details of the third shooting, which brought the number of shooting victims to 21. The incident occurred at 10:30 pm on Northwater Street 1102, injuring one person.

At the same press conference, Mayor Cavalier Johnson announced a curfew under the age of 21 in the red-light district of Milwaukee.

So far, 10 people have been detained and 9 guns have been recovered. Police believe that the three shootings are irrelevant.
