Honolulu (KHON2) — Police on the Big Island of Hawaii have identified the body of a man found buried in a shallow tomb in the Aloha Estate district of Puna.
The body was first discovered on January 5th. Due to the victim’s stage of corruption, police say a positive identification was made by comparing dental records.
The victim was identified as 34-year-old Andrew Corey, reported missing, and finally seen on December 23, according to Hawaii Island police.
According to Corey’s friend, he was last seen at the Mountain View Aloha Estate.
The Area I Criminal Investigation Division is continuing this investigation, which is classified as a second murder.
