Jefferson City, Missouri (AP) — Missouri State Capitol has resigned and has taken over as director of St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the state’s child services monitoring agency. report Tuesday.

Missouri Chief Justice Paul Wilson and Republican Governor Mike Parson have appointed Republican Rep. Becky Ruth as Director of the Child Protection Department. Her appointment still needs to be confirmed by the Republican-led Senate.

Former director Kelly Schultz has joined YMCA’s Missouri Alliance. Her six-year term as a board member has expired.
