Missouri man killed in Kansas City, Kansas crash – Wichita, Kansas

Kansas City, Kansas (WDAF) – A collision between two vehicles on Interstate 635 killed a 51-year-old Missouri man late Thursday afternoon in Kansas City, Kansas.

The crash was reported shortly before 5 pm after the cicadas and pickups collided near the ramp from I-70 to I-635 northbound.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the cicadas were heading east on the ramp from I-70 East to I-635 North. Troopers say the semi-driver didn’t negotiate a curve and hit the Chevrolet Silverado and ran off the road.

Silverado’s 51-year-old driver, Dwayne F. Stout, died in a crash. Two crew members of the Silverado cicada and a second crew member were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
