Fall River, Kansas (KSNT) – A law enforcement vehicle in response to a collision collided with a motorcyclist in Greenwood County on Thursday, killing a rider.

according to Kansas Highway Patrol, The marked “law enforcement vehicle” was responding to an injury and was heading north on CC50 Road on the US400. The law enforcement vehicle turned left and tried to head west toward the US400, which collided with a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

A motorcyclist identified as 58-year-old Karl Strum in Republic, Missouri, died at the crash site.

James Cued, 52, Deputy of Greenwood County, who was driving a Ford Explorer in 2020, was slightly injured.
