Council Bluffs, Iowa (KMTV) — Union Pacific has a collection of holiday model railroads.
Starting today, visitors will be able to access interactive exhibits at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum in Council Bluffs.
Visitors have the opportunity to operate the train. These models are part of what is known as the N gauge, which is smaller than the “HO” model.
“As you can see, such a small train can be much longer,” said Harvey Swanger of the Union Pacific Railroad Museum.
“You don’t need that much space to put it in. It fits in many areas. Some people put them in a small end table and actually surround the end table and put the glass on it. You can and they run the train at the bottom, so if you can do that, it’s a great little piece of conversation. “
Admission is free, but guests must Book a time slot A face mask is required to enter the museum. Visitors over the age of 2 will need a face mask.
The Union Pacific Railroad Museum will showcase these model railroads every Friday and Saturday from noon to 6 pm until December 18.
