Omaha, Nevada (KMTV) —The iconic sights of 72nd Street and F Street are gone.
We were at Anthony’s Steakhouse on Thursday morning. At that time, the steers were loaded into a new house and carried.
The Columbus business owner purchased a steer for display at a truck stop.
Anthony’s closed about four months ago after 55 years of business, but as many know, Stair wasn’t always on top of the restaurant.
“Well, when my dad first got it, he pulled it in a parade and so on. It was a great marketing tool. Then he decided it was enough and put it down — I really don’t remember — I think it came up in the early ’70s, ”said Tonyf Cinaro, the last member of the family to own and run the iconic steakhouse.
Stair will be sold at auction this week for $ 45,000 and the proceeds will go to Scare Away Cancer. It supports medical expenses, transportation expenses, and local families needed for daily life.
