Denver slightly missed the 95-degree record on Thursday, hitting a 94-degree record. Yesterday was the 58th day when Mile High City reached over 90 degrees this summer, the sixth highest on record.
The gust lowered the temperature overnight, and the temperature fluctuated by nearly 50 degrees in about 14 hours.
According to the National Meteorological Service of Boulder, Denver will reach 75 degrees under clear skies on Friday. The minimum temperature in the evening drops to 50 degrees Celsius.
Denver temperatures are projected to rise to a maximum of 40 to 90 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Fine weather, dry occasional winds at 15 mph exacerbate the fire conditions in the mountains. Saturday nights have a mild minimum temperature of 59 degrees Celsius.
It is sunny on Sunday, with a maximum temperature of around 87 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of around 55 degrees Celsius.
The cold front should move early next week, bringing autumn highs in the 1960s and 1970s. Some storms can also be on the way along with changes to cooler weather.
