More than 20 cats killed in fire at a Florida shelter – Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky

A fire broke out at an animal shelter in the Orlando area on Wednesday night, killing 23 cats.

In a Facebook post, the Greater Orlando Pet Alliance posted that firefighters and staff were able to save all dogs at the facility.

A video posted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office shows people taking animals out of the shelter while the shelter is on fire.

Orange County Animal Services says 30 animals have been rescued. They were taken to another facility to check out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
