Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 5 million children in the United States have been infected with COVID-19. According to a report from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The report states that as the delta variant spreads, more children are infected with the virus.

From August 28th to September 9th, the American Academy of Pediatrics states that 495,154 children tested positive for COVID-19.

However, the rate of hospitalization and death of children remains low, the report said.

The state reported that 0.1% -1.9% of children with COVID resulted in hospitalization.

These states also said that up to 0.03% of all COVID-19 cases in children died.

According to the report, California had the highest cumulative number of children with COVID-19 and Vermont had the lowest.
