Tampa, Florida — For members of the newly formed Tampa Motorcycle Coalition, riding their “two” is a way of life.
“We are all very proud to ride a bike, and I’ve been riding it since I was 18 years old,” said Calvin “Diesel” Jones, Secretary of the Coalition.
“I’ve been riding since I was 13, so you’ve been there for over 20 years,” said Coalition President Todd “T-Luc” Lucas.
But instead of keeping the joy of open roads on their own, the group is now working to share with the community by handing out at least 100 bikes to local children.
“Many of us come from different disciplines and understand what it means to be absent,” Lucas said.
To that end, we will be holding a holiday bike present event on December 18th at 18th Avenue Park in Evercity. They say they want to get these bikes in the hands of children who wouldn’t have gotten anything else.
“That means everything. When they get there, when they can survive with it, see that smile on the child’s face. You know, it wasn’t under the Christmas tree this year. Something that might be, “Lucas said.
And if you’re lucky, gifts may inspire the next generation, they say.
“We call the bike” two. ” You know that you can ride “two”. This is one of its junior versions. If you’re a biker at some point, you probably started here. ” Jones.
If you would like to donate your bicycle, we will accept donations until December 16th. You can unload your bike at the Joker Handlebar Hat on the 1100 N 50th St # 3F in Tampa, Florida.
The gift itself will be held from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the park at 2902 N 32nd St in Tampa, Florida.
