Myrtle Beach police officers fed Thanksgiving meals – Florence, South Carolina

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (WBTW) — The Myrtle Beach Police Department received a free Thanksgiving meal from the Myrtle Beach Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.

This is the eighth year that the association has cooked Thanksgiving and Christmas supper for the people who work.

“I can’t spend the day with my family, and many of the young faces don’t have a family in the area, so I hope you enjoy the day,” Barbara Prescop said. President of the Myrtle Beach Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.

Members of the alumni association cooked food and brought food from local restaurants.

“We are very grateful,” said Alyssa Savage of MBPD. “It’s great for families to come here and celebrate. It’s great for families to come and do this for us.”

The reunion also left an empty plate setting for the fallen Myrtle Beach police officer Jacob Hancher.
