NAM Announces Winners of First Round of Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) today announced the winners of the first round of the Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards, along with seven global collaborators representing nearly 50 countries and territories. The award is part of the Healthy Longevity Global Competition, a multi-year, multi-million dollar international competition for breakthrough innovations to extend human health and later functioning.

In the first round of the Catalyst Awards, innovators around the world submitted over 1,330 applications. The Catalyst phase requires teams and individuals from all backgrounds, from science, medicine and health to technology, finance and social sciences, to submit innovative ideas aimed at extending human health. Applications are primarily based on novelty and innovation.

NAM competes and coordinates among seven global collaborators, each managing competition in their own country or region. In parallel, NAM also runs a US-based Catalyst Award contest, with nearly 600 innovators submitting applications in Round 1. As a seed fund to move their ideas forward:
