Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) —Early Tuesday morning, a woman with more than 12 arrest warrants was detained in South Nashville for multiple theft and fraud charges.
According to police documents, 42-year-old Charlena Gibson was arrested at her home in South Nashville and was found to have had a crack during a search for arrest. She faces several car robbery, identity theft, and fraud charges after authorities say she was involved in multiple incidents throughout Davidson County.
Police in Metro Nashville said on May 12 that police had responded to the robbery of multiple cars at an apartment complex in Donelson’s Pennington Center Boulevard. Authorities said on April 2 that Gibson also stole several items worth more than $ 4,000 from another vehicle in Nashville.
In both cases, credit and debit cards were reportedly stolen and linked to fraudulent purchases made at multiple Mapco locations, the Elysian Fields Market, and the Legacy Barber Lounge at McGavock Pike.
Police said the location of the robbery where the stolen card was used and video surveillance from the company helped lead to Gibson’s arrest.
