September is National Preparation Month. It’s time to consider how to deal with the next flood, wildfire, tornado, hail, ice and snowstorm events.

This week, we’re focusing on making sure you’re prepared for a disaster. We are looking at what disasters you need to prepare for and how you are best prepared.

In Nebraska, you need to be aware of serious weather threats such as floods, tornadoes, cold / snowstorms and fires.

But if you don’t know what can happen, how can you prepare? Here are some tips.

You also need to do the following:

  • Practice emergency training
