Honolulu (KHON) — A national event called Clear the Shelters helps the Hawaiian Humane Society (HHS) find their beloved families and adopt dogs and cats.
“Currently, we are doing something special,” said HHS spokesman Jessica Tronoski. “It’s like your own price for all cats and all small animals. It’s on campus and on offsite adoption partner cats.”

This special will be held from August 23rd to September 19th. In either location, visitors can afford to hire new furry friends.
“We’ve hired 414 animals so far, which is really exciting,” says Tronoski.
If there is no time or space to adopt a new animal, Tronoski said HHS is currently looking for foster parents and certain items to donate.
“As you know, there is a shortage of towels right now,” says Tronoski. “So, for the care of all our animals, we use towels for everything.”
She advises those who still have towels in good condition to drop them in their place.
