Nationwide viral school threat felt in some Kansas schools did not originate here – Wichita, Kansas

Ottawa, Kansas (WDAF) —According to the Franklin County Security Officer’s Office in Kansas, a suspect has been detained in St. Joseph, Missouri, who was responsible for the threat of a national virus school.

The threat targeted “Central High School,” but did not identify any school, and cities and locations up to Minot, North Dakota received and investigated the threat.

Franklin County did not identify how many suspects were detained or if any accusations were filed.

The sheriff’s office said there was no reason to believe that the threat was directed at the Central Heights School District in Franklin County.
