Honolulu (KHON2) —Navy officials are investigating reports of chemical odors in drinking water from multiple homes in a military residential area at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
Officials say the Navy is working with the Hawaii Department of Health to test water samples taken. Currently, there are no immediate signs that water is unsafe.

On Sunday, November 28, Navy engineers visited several homes of people who reported the smell of chemicals in the water.
Subsequent investigations of the Navy’s drinking water wells showed no odor or signs that the Navy’s wells or tanks contained fuel or chemicals.
