Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 2020-12-23 11:40:07 –

The NBA and Houston Rockets are watching a video of James Harden having a maskless party at a strip club to see if the disgruntled All-Star violates the league’s COVID-19 protocol, ESPN. Reported on Wednesday.

Published by Black Sports Online, the video is allegedly made at a Christmas party at a club in Houston this week.

The Rockets and NBA are working to make sure it’s a recent video.

According to the report, it is currently questioned whether Harden will be available in the Rockets’ Wednesday night season opener against Oklahoma City Thunder. The NBA’s COVID-19 protocol prohibits players from going to bars, lounges, nightclubs, or attending social gatherings of more than 15 people.

Eight-time All-Star and three-time defending scoring champion of the league, Harden has been a regular in the news cycle for weeks, beyond his stated desire to be traded to competitors.

A 31-year-old guard reported to the training camp a week late and played only two of Houston’s four pre-season games.

Athletic reported on Tuesday that Harden was actually involved in a verbal confrontation with his teammates and threw a basketball at one player.

In the NBA’s 11 seasons, Harden averaged 25.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 833 career games. He spent the first three seasons in Thunder after finishing third overall in the 2009 draft.

Harden averaged 34.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 68 games last season.
