Henderson (KTNV) — To commemorate Pride Month, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak signed an important bill and enacted it.
Sisorak, along with several other state leaders, attended the Henderson Pride Parade on Sunday at the Henderson Equality Center.
One of the signed bills requires that you ask about gender identity and sexuality in the same way that government agencies ask about race.
Another bill helps LGBTQ-owned businesses receive loans and lending information, one of which modernizes Nevada’s HIV criminal law.
“At the same time as celebrating these achievements, it is also time to look back on our progress, focusing on the steps taken to eliminate stigma and exclusion. We are helping to build an inclusive society, “said Sisorak. ..
In addition, the final bill allows pharmacists to use their expertise to increase access to care for HIV patients.
Sunday also commemorated the reopening of the center’s ground.
