Nevada National Guard heads to Washington D.C. – Las Vegas, Nevada

Washington DC is strengthening security ahead of next week’s inauguration.

More than 200 soldiers with Nevada’s National Guard are heading there to assist in federal law enforcement.

Those same units were planning to go to Washington, DC before the riots at the US Capitol last week.

In Washington, DC, they have already added non-scalable fences around the US Supreme Court.

Public works dump trucks are used to block some roads-these road closures are valid at least until after the inauguration date.

The mayor of DC would like to thank everyone who comes to town to keep everyone safe.

Soldiers from all 50 states and territories support in Washington, DC

The Pentagon has approved more than 20,000 military forces.
