Carson City (AP) —Nevada health officials reported 609 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus on Sunday, killing three more.
Currently, 90,261 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the state, with 1,707 known deaths. On Saturday, 967 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Nevada.
This was the largest daily increase since August 14, when the state recorded about 1,100 cases.
For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms such as fever and cough, which heals in a few weeks.
However, it can cause more serious illnesses, such as pneumonia and death, for some people, especially the elderly and those with existing health problems.
The majority of people will recover.
