New features in 2022: Acura

Acura will enter the 2022 model at the inflection point. Honda’s luxury arm redesigned the MDX 3-row crossover SUV and revamped the RDX compact crossover (two best-selling), but sold out the last iteration of the rare NSX supercar in a matter of hours. The comfortable utility vehicle helped launch the brand in the 1980s, but with the resurgence of the Acura Integra hatchback, which has been shelved for the past 20 years, it supports brands trying to reassert affordable performance mojo. ..

Here are the new features of the five models in Acura’s 2022 lineup:

2022 Acura MDX

-The redesigned 3-row crossover SUV features a new construction, a new cabin, and updated safety and convenience features.

-Standard 3.5 liter V6 with 290hp and 267lb-ft torque. MDX Type S optional 355 hp turbo V-6. 10-speed automatic powers the front wheels. All-wheel drive is optional.

-Standard features include a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, 19-inch wheels, wireless smartphone charging, synthetic leather upholstery, 12-way power front seats, and a 12.3-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The infotainment interface relies on an incomplete touchpad instead of a touchscreen, which may be the only internal misstep.

-Standard automatic emergency braking front and rear, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor.

2022 Acura RDX

-The refreshed, compact 5-seater crossover comes with more standard technology, a quieter cabin, and readjusted drive mode dynamics.

-Uses a 272 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo 4 and 10-speed automatic transmission that powers the front wheels or all four wheels with available AWD. Acura says the drive mode selector has been enhanced with clearer power assist in steering, braking, and sound control.

-Acura states that the updated design and enhancements reduce noise, vibration and discomfort.

-Wireless AppleCarPlay / Android Auto is now standard.

-PMC edition is limited to 200 units.

5-seater sedan Redesigned for the 2021 model It will be carried over to 2022.

2022 Acura ILX

-A dilapidated compact sedan based on the old Honda Civic will be replaced by the Acura Integra next year.

-Integra is expected to be a 5-seater hatchback equipped with a 6-speed MT.

-NSX Type S will complete production of this generation of Acura supercars.

-The hybrid supercar uses a 600hp and 492lb-ft twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine. Two of the three motors power each all-wheel drive axle.
