“Public schools are back in session and summer is just around the corner. Students can be vaccinated with COVID-19 to help protect students and their families and help us all do what we missed. “I want you to know,” said Tracy Collins, Executive Director of NMDOH.

During the week of May 3, students over the age of 16 will prioritize vaccination reservations. NMDOH calls the event Student COVID-19 Vaccination Week.

If there are no plans, state officials will ask you to double-check on a regular basis. Providers are continually updating their booking schedules.

Elderly people and people with disabilities can call 1-800-432-2080 for registration and scheduling assistance.

Vaccination of New Mexicans under the age of 18 requires parental consent, and Pfizer is the only vaccine available to students aged 16-17.
