Serena Quintanilla Perez is no longer with us, but her music and heritage continue to be celebrated.
A new two-hour music program “Por Siempre Selena” will be run at the Televisa Univision to introduce the Queen of Tejanos. The network and the Quintanilla family said in a statement to Rolling Stone on Tuesday.
The special features a story about Serena’s life and is a tribute to her music 27 years after her death.
Televisa Univision has not announced a release date.
Specials are not the only new Serena project announced this year. Serena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla, will release a new Serena album this year in March, using previously unreleased songs and technology that recreates her voice that was heard before her death. Said.
